It’s Here! The newest collection of short stores from Top Writer’s Block! Check it out on Smashwords! Please download. It is $1.99 and ALL MONIES GO TO CHARITY. The authors make ZERO because we believe in Sea Shepherd. All proceeds will go to Sea Shepherd, whose members are dedicated to saving our oceans and sea life, without which, we are doomed…The newest collection is based on the “Trash Day” theme. What would you have to say about trash day? Here is a collection of short stories from Top Writers Block on that theme. It is an entertaining anthology of stories stretching from the sublime to the ridiculous! There is something to appeal to everyone. Be sure to watch out for the next collection based on the theme ‘Loneliness.’
My short story is “Every Wednesday” and is, of course, a horror genre story.

I’ve met some very, very dedicated (and TALENTED) authors publishing ebooks. The quality IS THERE – you just have to find it. And more likely than not, the people who publish ebooks don’t do it for fame or money – we do it because writing is ESSENTIAL to our being and we enjoy sharing our work. I applaud those with the COURAGE to put their work out there. Sorry we didn’t contact publishing houses or submit book proposals. 90% of authors who do go that route are usually rejected. The market is saturated.
Of course, ANY AUTHOR WANTS a publishing house to WANT us – to publish us. But for now, I am proud to be an ebook author – exited – and honored to have met some really, really great authors.
I am honored to be part of a writing group that spans the GLOBE and brings together a menagerie of great authors to publish collections.
I am humbled that people ARE downloading my ebooks, and are leaving me reviews and feedback. I am humbled that people are actually paying to do this.
So to the authors who consider themselves “real” – don’t be snotty. Be supportive of the writing community and the ways in which authors decide to publish themselves. Yes, there is JUNK out there – and yes, you often have to wade through junk to get to the good stuff. But the good stuff is there. I think it sometimes comes down to jealousy – especially for established, published authors who did go the route of submitting outlines and proposals and being rejected, etc. I get that it was not easy, is not easy. I admire you all for doing that. But to be fair, the times have changed and access to sharing your work, distribution, etc. has changed with the advent of technology.
Keep writing, you aspiring authors. Get on Smashwords.com and publish it! WHO CARES – get it out there. Share it. You rock.

What a great short sci-fi tale. Really keeps you on the edge of your seat. Grabs you from the start and moves fast untilvthe surprisr ending. Good job!!!!

My ebook “Wicked Things: Five Tales of Horror” received a new review on Barnes and Noble. 3 out of 5 stars (darn), but the reviewer said some nice things:
“If your are a fan of horror or anthologys then i recommend this book. There are at least two very origional stories and the others are good twists on old ideas.”
